What does ICC mean as a whole and why should we care about it in cricket?

The complete name of the ICC is the International Cricket Council. It is the governing body of global cricket, it conducts tournaments including the world cup and the T20 world cup. The ICC promotes fair play, rules and assures that cricket is played fully among men, women and youth players in the world.
