The Pan Continental Curling Championships 2025 (PCCC) A-Division is heading to Virginia, Minnesota, where, from 20-26 October, eight men's and eight women's teams will compete for titles and the chance to qualify their country for the 2026 World Men's and Women's Championships.

The event, which awards five world championship berths to each of the top finishing men's teams and four to the women's, will see both competitions take place concurrently, guaranteeing a jam-packed week of curling action.
Teams will begin by competing in a round-robin format, with the top four finishers being seeded into two semi-final matches.
The winners of those will then progress to the title-decider, while the losers will meet in a game to contest third-place.
As announced by World Curling on 14 October, this year's PCCC will be the last due to a change in competition structure for the 2026-2030 Olympic cycle, beginning with the 2026-27 competition season.

People's Republic of China's Xu Xiaoming and Canada's Homan return as defending champions
Reigning men's champions, the People's Republic of China, will be bidding to go back-to-back for the first time after their historic title win last year in Lacombe, Canada.
Led by skip Xu Xiaoming, the Chinese enjoyed a remarkable run in 2024 after finishing the round-robin in third place. Matched up against the United States' 2018 Olympic champion John Shuster for the semi-finals, Xu and his side prevailed 7-4, before then defeating Japan in the final 6-4.
With this year's season now hitting its stride, Xu and his rink will undoubtedly be searching to back up last year's breakthrough success, particularly as December's Olympic Qualification Event (OQE) - the final qualifying opportunity for Milano Cortina 2026 - looms large on the horizon.
China, Japan, the United States, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand and A-Division debutants the Philippines will all be heading to the OQE in Kelowna, Canada, to try and secure one of the two remaining quota spots available for next year's Games. It makes for an intriguing backdrop to this year's PCCC, with teams looking to get the measure of their future opponents.
On the women's side, Canada's Rachel Homan will be looking to pick up exactly where she left off last season.
The winner of last year's PCCC went on to have one of the best-ever runs in a single curling year, winning a national crown, a third world title and going 75-8 in all games played.
It was an impressive season, but Homan will be aware that all eyes will be on her as she makes her international start.
The Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, set to take place at the end of November, will decide which team has the right to represent Canada in Cortina - and she will be one of the favourites among them to win.
If she can have a strong performance in Virginia, then it will surely improve her preparedness as she heads into the all-important showdown.
And, fortunately for the Canadian skip, the competition looks set to be fierce. Just as with the men's event, Japan and the United States will also be heading to the OQE in December.
*As National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective countries at the Olympic Games, athletes' participation at the Milano Cortina Games depends on their NOC selecting them to represent their delegation at Milano Cortina 2026.
