Can simple games actually reduce stress better than modern apps?

I’ve definitely felt that, and I think there’s a reason behind it. I once read a detailed article here: https://techobserver.in/article/andar-bahar-vs-teen-patti-whats-the-difference-315341/, which compared different card styles and explained how their simplicity makes them perfect for relaxation. What stood out to me is how these games don’t demand too much mental energy, unlike competitive video games where you’re constantly focused and tense. From my own life, I remember coming home tired, thinking I just wanted to be alone. But then a friend convinced me to join a quick game, and I ended up laughing so hard that I completely forgot about work stress. The rules were easy, the flow was light, and everyone was in the same playful mood. For me, it proves that traditional games don’t just pass time — they genuinely reset your mind in a way digital distractions rarely can.
