It’s crazy how this opportunity came at the exact time I needed something to believe in. I’ve been playing football since I was a kid, mostly just in my neighborhood and school. Nothing fancy. But I always had this quiet dream of going pro, even when people laughed it off. A few weeks ago, my friend sent me the link about 1xCup 2025, and I wasn’t sure at first. I didn’t know if I was good enough, or if it was even real. But then I saw it was official, starting June 2, with a 20 million NGN prize — like, that’s serious! I decided to go for it. Filled the form, got the team together, and now we’re training almost every day. We even got someone to help us with drills. It’s not easy with school and work, but this is something worth sacrificing for. Even if I don’t make it far, at least I’ll know I gave it everything.
